Carpet Stain Reappear

Carpet stain reappear. When many people clean carpets they shampoo and move on. What is the difference between soiling and wicking. These stains keep reappearing through a process called soiling or wicking. It is time you call cleaning professionals to do their job.

If your reappearing stains are due to soiling you ll want to use lukewarm water a quarter cup at most to clean the spot. The other common cause of reappearing stains is something referred to as wicking. A reappearing stain called wicking may get removed from the surface with traditional cleaning methods but not from the carpeting or upholstery padding underneath. In these cases some of the shampoo soap or other cleaning agent used in a traditional cleaning process was left behind in your carpet. Even after the carpet dries the residue will remain.

If you try cleaning the carpet using your traditional methods the stains will reappear after a while. Wicking happens when liquid penetrates the rug or carpet to reach the backing and or padding. Recurrent stains are usually not permanent however and can be removed with a gentle wet solution. The leftover residue becomes sticky over time.

When you spot treat a stain you are cleaning the surface of the carpet. There are two possible reasons carpeting and rugs can be cleaned after a spill appear to be fine and then have the stain reappear later. Soiling when you use a carpet cleaner on a stain and the carpet cleaner is not properly blotted or completely rinsed off from the spot it creates a problem called soiling. Wicking is the result of a stain reaching deep into the carpet and soaking into the carpet backing and sometimes even the pad underneath the carpet. Spills that absorb deep into the backing or pad can get reabsorbed into the carpet fibers and make its way back up to the top of the fiber.

When the dirt is saturated it finds its way out of the fabric to the surface of the carpet. Step 1 make a cleaning solution by filling a bucket 3 4 full with water. When you clean the stain you are cleaning the surface of the carpet. Two reasons carpet and rug stains reappear after cleaning.

Once you ve rinsed the fibers dry them to the greatest extent possible to keep wicking away.
